| Ayutthaya
was the second capital in Thailand since 1350-1767 for 417 years.Until
it was conquered by the Burmese then left in the jungle for over
a hundred years.Many the magnificient ruins of the old city still
remain and some have been renovated.Ayutthaya historical park was
included UNESCO,s list of world heritage site in 1991
Pang-Pa-In Palace
was buite by King Prasat Thong in 1629-1656,where used the royal
residence many King of Ayutthaya till destroyed by Burma in 1767.Afterward
the palace was revived by King Rama IV in 1807.The present-day royal
palace dates from the reige of King Chulalonghorn(1868-1910), most
of the distinctive buildings, Thai style,European style and Chinese,
standing today were constructed between 1872-1889. Today the palace
is used occasion ally by Their Majesties King Bhumibol Adulyadej
(Rama IX) and Queen Sirikit as a residence and for holding receptions
and banquets. |
